October marks my one-year anniversary at the Aldrich, and I’m thrilled to reflect on a year filled with accomplishments and victories! Thank you for welcoming me so warmly to the library and for every opportunity I've had to connect with you.

A friend once reminded me that it wasn’t just luck that brought me to this role as library director; it was hard work and dedication. She was right, and I still feel incredibly fortunate!
I am inspired by the generous support the Barre community offers to the Aldrich. I am motivated by the role the library plays every day helping residents with the challenges they face. I am proud of our staff and everything they have achieved during their time here. I look forward to collaborating with them as we continue the traditions of the Aldrich Public Library while also pushing ourselves to reach further, increase our impact, strengthen our community, and enhance your joy.
This art installation, "Through The Storm" was created by local artist Tuyen Nguyen with the assistance of community youth and their families. This thread sculpture is meant to signify a rainbow after a storm.
This past year, I dedicated myself to learning as much as possible about Barre and doing my best in this role. I’m excited to discover even more ways for the Aldrich Public Library to welcome you into this beautiful historic gem and experience public librarianship at its finest.
Happy Halloween!
See you at the library!
