The Teen Room at Aldrich offers research help for school assignments, giant bean bag chairs to hang out on, and of course the hottest new books. The Teen Room also offers program and leadership opportunities for teens grades 7 - 12th. Stop by and check it all out!

2017 summer reading handout. All events and programs are FREE for teens in 7th-12th grade. We're giving away a tablet, movie prize pack, books, and hosting an end of summer Nerf Gun pizza party!

Ongoing teen programs

It’s More Fun to DIY craft series: 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6pm. Participants can “Do It Yourself” on a wide variety of craft projects such as perler beads, light up cards, mug cakes, and more. Materials and participation is free. Check the calendar to see what the next craft will be!


Magic the Gathering: Fridays, 3-5pm in the Vermont Room. Magic players of all ages and experience levels are welcome to join the ongoing games.


Pokemon badges: For all ages. Take the challenge to earn two badges every week. Continues while supplies last.


TAC: Teen Advisory Council

The Teen Advisory Council is the voice of our young adults at Aldrich. It guides services, plans programs, and provides leadership experience. 7th - 12th graders interested in joining can pick up an application and give it to the librarian. TAC meets the third Thursday of the month at 4:15pm.


Spaulding High School Book Club

The book club meets on the second Wednesday of the month in the Spaulding library, and all high school age teens (7-12th grade) are welcome whether they attend Spaulding or not.
